With his unconventional style combining virtuosity in piano technique, brilliance in his compositional skills and intense musicality, he has enchanted millions of young people who are fascinated by his example, inspiring them to explore the culture of music and the creative art of composition, and has thus become one of the most popular Italian artists in the world.
A degree with honours both in Piano and Composition, and a degree Magna Cum Laude in Philosophy, where his thesis was on “The Void in Contemporary Physics”. These are the ingredients that M° Giovanni Allevi brings on stage when he meets his audience in the most prestigious theaters in the world, from the Carnegie Hall in New York to the Auditorium of the Forbidden City in Beijing! Numerous degree theses have been dedicated to him, while the American space agency NASA has named an asteroid after him: “giovanniallevi111561”.
Thanks to his intellectual commitment, he is a philosophical point of reference on concepts of innovation and analysis of change. His latest books are REVOLUZIONE (tr. “Revolution”) in which he undertakes an in-depth exploration of innovation, with analytical rigour and flights of imagination and “Le Regole del Pianoforte” (tr. The Rules of the Piano) – 33 notes of music and philosophy for a life out of the ordinary, in which the world of black and white keys is explored, sounded out, in its most intimate expressive possibilities and in its illuminating philosophical meanings, in a new and surprising approach.
He was recently the star and presenter of an innovative docuseries on the OTT Channel RaiPlay with “Allevi in the jungle”. ESTASI (tr. Ecstasy) is his new piano solo album which has been released worldwide on all major digital platforms.
